Dayton, Ohio Book Inspired Maternity Session

“Strong women, may we know them, may we be them, may we raise them.”
I love Jo’s shirt for her book inspired maternity session. Jo decide to bring lots of her favorite books to her maternity session at my downtown Dayton studio. All the books she brought have strong female characters or are books that were written by women. As you probably already guessed, Jo will be having another little girl next month, and she’s keeping the name a secret for now.

I think it’s so important for kids to grow up reading and being inspired by books. As a child, I never liked reading and actually had a tough time learning. To this day I’m an awful speller! (My husband does a lot of proof reading for me.) I would have much rather been playing in the woods outside as a kid, than learning to read. As an adult, I love reading and I have books scattered throughout almost every room in my house. I find a comfort in them. I just wish I would have given books a little more of my attention earlier on, when I had more time to delve in.
