Dayton, Ohio Family and Cake Smash Session

I have known these two awesome families since grade school. Kay, Eli & I were in the same grade and Shellie (Kay’s sister) was a year or two behind us. Between art class, choir & school plays, we basically all grew up together. I also photographed Kay and Eli’s wedding and some of their first photographs as a family of 3. It’s such an honor to be part of friends lives for so long and to get to be present & capture their special life moments. I love when clients become friends, but even more, I love when friends become clients.

These two cousins were born only a day apart from each other. They were actually both in the hospital together. So in honor of their 1st birthdays we combined their family sessions & cake smashes.

I’ll admit, there were smiles & there were tears during the session, but after all, it’s their birthdays.
