Elliot’s Nursery

Neutral Woodland Nursery

Welcome to baby Elliot’s nursery tour!

I’ll be 39 weeks tomorrow, and we are anxiously waiting on little Elliot’s arrival. We picked Elliot’s name even before we knew I was pregnant. We liked it because it’s a classic name, but still pretty unique. Once we found out I was pregnant we learned that the meaning of the name is “The Lord is My God.” After that, we were totally sold on this adorable name and its strong meaning. My friend Chelsi had the “Elliot” sign custom made and it’s just perfect!

For Elliot’s nursery I wanted a neutral & calming color palette. For years I’ve thought a hot air balloon themed nursery would be adorable, so my mom bought me the hot air balloon wall art several years back. They were bright primary colors, so Brant spray painted them white. He did a lot of painting for the nursery (what a good sport!) There are a lot of little woodland creatures throughout the room, mainly staying in neutral color tones. There are a few of my own toys mixed throughout the decor as well.

The crib I chose is low, which will make it much easier to lift baby in and out. It is made from New Zealand pine wood. New Zealand was our last big trip before we decided to try for a family, so it is a very special place to us. You’ll see two New Zealand stuffed animals; a sheep and brown kiwi bird on one of the shelves below. We purchased them on our trip for our future little one.

Enjoy the cuteness!

Brant restored this half glass door which is from an old Ohio farm house. The glass will allow us to peak in on Elliot without opening the door.

This lovely little sign I had custom made from this Etsy shop.

We asked friends and family to buy a book instead of a card for our showers to get a good start on Elliot’s library. I just love children’s books!1011_neutral_woodland_creature_animal_nursery_byAshley_Lynn_Photography
