Heirloom Portraits with Ashley Lynn Photography
On March 16th I will be offering a children’s heirloom portrait photography session at the Noir Studio Space in Lebanon, Ohio. This is a great in-between location for those living in Cincinnati or Dayton, Ohio. This event will be the perfect opportunity to preserve your children’s portrait because as we all know, they grow up way too fast!
This Children’s Heirloom Portrait Event is always one of my favorite exclusive events. To keep the focus 100% on the child and the images looking timeless, the portraits will be done in-studio on a simple white background.
These portraits are for children ranging in age from 12 months to 12 years – the only stipulation being that they can sit up on their own.

So, what is heirloom portrait photography?
Heirloom portraiture is a classic style of children’s photography that is designed to be a forever piece of artwork for your, and your loved one’s, home. My beautiful and timeless heirloom photographs are thoughtfully created. I always include hand editing to ensure the final piece of art is treasured for generations.
Furthermore, this portrait style started in the 19th century and was particularly popular in the South. They’ve been making a comeback in the last several years. Classics never go out of style!
Children would typically adorn ruffles, textures and unique collars & necklines, to bring the focus to the child’s face and neck. While I bring a modern touch to the portraits, I still aim to keep that classic touch.

Equally important, traditional heirloom photography portraits were often hung in homes within a unique oval frame with curved convex glass. We offer this specific style of frame here at Ashley Lynn Photography and it’s one of our most popular products!
