Dance Photography in Lebanon, Ohio
We met for a full session at our beautiful minimalist photography studio in Lebanon, Ohio. Paulena brought with her a selection of dance costumes and a formal look for her senior session. Having a variety of options is always a great idea when you’re looking to maximize your photo selections!
The white background in the studio really made the colorful and intricate details of the dance costumes pop. Our Lebanon studio is the perfect place to capture dance photography sessions, family photos, and more.
More Than Just Photography
Kim joked that Paulena was actually kicked out of her first dance class at age 3 because she was disruptive. I have loved working with Paulena capturing the significant moments of her life as the years passed.
I have been taking Paulena’s dance and school photos every year for the past few years. Her mother Kim is my chiropractor and taught my birthing classes. This particular session was special for a few reasons.
First, she recently graduated from high school. Also, this marks her final days as a student of Vicki Jo Dance Studio in Miamisburg. It’s an end of an era! We got emotional at the end of this session since it will be our last one.
2020 Seniors Impacted by COVID
This year was Paulena’s first year doing point ballet and she was going to surprise her mom at a recital. However, as it was for many dancers, her recitals and competitions were canceled due to COVID-19.
Her plans for next year are up in the air because she was going to try out for the Rockettes in NYC, but COVID has changed her plans a bit. Whatever the next step is, I know she’ll go on with grace and passion.
