Family Photography at Noir Studio Space
As someone who values family dearly, I love capturing family portraits. Especially at the beautifully spacious and versatile studio in Lebanon, Noir Studio Space. The Elkins family have come to me over the last few years for updated family photos. I captured this portrait session at Noir Studio Space just before Thanksgiving. Rachael and Ryan (mom and dad of the kiddos) rounded up their siblings and parents as a gift to the grandparents. A family photo session is one of the best gifts you can give someone since it’s about creating memories together. It also means getting to spend a day together as a family, something that lasts forever.

Reunited (And It Feels So Good!)
Like many families, these guys didn’t get to see each other much in 2020. Especially since brother and sister live out of state. The holidays lent the perfect opportunity to capture these portraits for the Elkins Family. I love updating a family’s portrait each year. It provides a memory they’ll treasure until they’re reunited. In fact, the holidays can be the only chance a family gets to update their portraits. This makes capturing these holiday sessions extra special. Plus, I could see how overjoyed The Elkins family were to just be together! Actually, I photographed Rachael and Ryan’s wedding at the Dayton Art Institute (DAI) a few years back. Now the couple has their children, Oliver (4) and Ezra (1). It’s always wonderful to see returning clients with their growing families. Additionally, The Hartmans, whom I also photographed at Noir Studio, are another family I photograph yearly. In fact, many of my clients are repeating customers.

More Family News
In case you missed it.. my family is also growing! We’re expecting baby #2 this summer. For updates on bookings and my maternity leave, be sure to subscribe to my newsletter. In the meantime, show this family some love in the comments. If they receive more than 15 comments, I’ll gift them a print!

[…] My design for this space is complete with a pink velvet couch, multi-colored rug, and stunning macrame wall hanging. I love the natural, earthy texture that the macrame creates. Combined with the colorful printed rug, the white interior of the studio beams with soft, romantic energy. This space would be delightful for a quick family session, kids-only session, recently engaged couples, or even an updated headshot! Clean, crisp settings like these are excellent because they are so versatile. Yet they still have all the charm and personality you’d expect from a photography studio. I have more a few more portrait sessions taken at Noir Studio Space available on my blog. […]
