Capturing your family photos close to home provides a special opportunity to revel in memories while making new ones. Kettering family photography gives my clients the connection to their roots.
I met with the Collins Family for their family portrait session at Cox Arboretum Metro Park. Wedged between Miamisburg, West Carrollton, and Kettering, this is one of my favorite portrait locations for family sessions during the spring and summer months. There’s an endless amount of stunning backdrops for photos. We were lucky to have beautiful weather for this full family session at the park in April.
Kettering Family Photography at Cox Arboretum
When Kelli reached out to me to book this session with her boyfriend Bryan and son Jordan, I was so happy. I photographed Jordan’s senior session in fall 2020. It was so great to see this wonderful family again! It’s such a great feeling when clients book repeat sessions with me. I’m thrilled to know they’re happy with the way I’ve captured their special family memories.
Fun Day at the Park in Kettering, Ohio
Kelli’s request for this shoot was for photographs that felt like the family was just having a fun, casual day hanging out together at the park – some posed photos and some candid. This kind of photographs are what I love to shoot! To get the fun, playful look, I sometimes ask my clients to do silly things or actions.
For example, I might ask everyone to look at each other. It may feel strange at the moment, but it turns out looking amazing. And bonus if I get a good laugh out of it, which is what I’m always secretly hoping for!
I love the outfits Kelli, Bryan, and Jordan wore for the shoot. They kept it casual in basics like jeans, long-sleeve tees, and comfortable shoes – exactly what you would wear to hang out at the park.
