Xenia Ohio Photography: the Backus Family‘s updated portraits are full of blooms, blossoms, and love.
Summer Garden Mini Sessions
Summer Garden Mini Sessions might just be my new favorite sessions to offer. For this particular garden, the peak bloom time is a little later in the season, early-mid Aug. If you know me at all you know I’m a sucker for florals. I got the idea to offer these sessions while visiting one of my favorite local gardens in Xenia Ohio.

Allison wanted to recreate a photo of her and her husband from their wedding where they were hugging and had their heads together. She used hydrangea stems I brought from my house ( I didn’t want to pick and of the garden’s flowers!) to recreate her wedding bouquet. We then got to pass the bouquet off to little Reese.

What I love most about mini sessions is that we get to capture a lot of images in a short period of time; with a dynamic setting like a garden in full bloom, you really make the most of your portrait investment.
Family Photography in Xenia, Ohio
I did Allison’s senior photos years ago and have taken photos for her family multiple times throughout the years. Now she has a family of her own, and it’s a joy to continue to document their life together.
It had been a couple of years since I last took their photos, between current events and busy schedules. Most of my clients update their family photos yearly or every couple of years. This year’s turned out so lovely!
