Getting Ready at The Radisson Hotel in Covington
Caitlin’s bridesmaids gathered in a beautiful, well-lit room at The Raddison on a sunny October morning to prepare the bride for her big day. She laid out her wedding day jewelry in a gorgeous burgundy velvet ring box, accompanied by her Save the Dates and Wedding Invitations. Her shoes matched her jewelry in a beautiful muted silver tone. They looked lovely against the jewel-toned, fall-inspired bouquet and details.
The bridal party was so loving and supportive. As I captured some of their behind-the-scenes moments, including her first look at the bridal party, their authentic joy for Caitlin was touchingly evident.
The First Look at the Devou Park Overlook
Our next stop was the Overlook at Devou Park, surrounded by stunning views of Cincinnati’s skyline. Here, Caitlin met her husband-to-be for a first look. The moment could not have been more perfect — he was overcome with emotion at the sight of his bride. The clear, sunny skies brought the images to life.
We then had the bridal party and groomsmen join us downtown for group portraits.
Cincinnati Skyline and Urban Anecdotes in Covington
Downtown and urban settings can help create a beautiful story in your images. In Downtown Covington, we met up with the rest of the wedding party to capture more portraits full of personality. The architecture, windows, signage, and colors added so much richness and texture to these photographs.
Their burgundy and gray color palette really popped against the vibrancy of the city.
Covington Wedding Ceremony and Reception at The Madison
Our final destination for the night was The Madison for the wedding ceremony and reception. Inside the modern-industrial space were exposed brick, cool gray floors, and crystal chandeliers. The luxurious design of the space was minimally decorated, with emphasis on lighting, florals, the cake, and place settings.
The family-style dining maximized the space for their guests, who were eager to hit the dance floor after dinner and toasts to keep the celebration going. Ever since I captured Caitlin and Alex’s engagement session at the Grotto Gardens, I’ve known just how fun and lively the couple was. Their families were just as joyful!
