Dayton’s Historic Grotto Gardens

The Historic Grotto and Gardens on the Dayton VA Medical Center‘s campus is, in my opinion, one of the best locations for an outdoor portrait session.

The tranquil gardens were built by Civil War veterans as a sanctuary after the war. With more than a dozen gardens, three fountains, a waterfall, and grotto, this beautiful and peaceful spot make an ideal place for outdoor engagement photos.

We were lucky to have a lovely, sunny day at the gardens for Caitlin and Alex’s engagement session this spring.

Dayton, Ohio Engagement Portraits

I will be photographing Caitlin and Alex’s wedding this October at the Madison Event Center in Covington, Kentucky. Fun Outdoor Engagement Session

Engagement sessions are always special! Most couples haven’t had professional photos taken together before this shoot. That makes their engagement photos a great opportunity to show off their personalities, their love for one another, and that gorgeous ring!

Caitlin and Alex were a really fun couple to shoot! They were both so sweet and always making each other laugh. I really love it when my couples don’t take themselves too seriously. It makes for great photos when everyone can relax and have a good time in front of the camera. I’m sure their wedding will be just as much fun to photograph!
