What to Wear to Santa Christmas Sessions 2024
It’s never too early to start thinking about your family’s Christmas photoshoot with Santa! In today’s blog, I’m going to share my best advice for the big question: what to wear to Santa Christmas sessions?? I’ll also share some links to examples to help get your gears turning.

Dayton, Ohio, Santa Photoshoot 2024
My biggest tip is to keep your kids’ clothing classic in both color and style for their photos with Santa. The goal is to create timeless photos that can be shared again and again. Sticking to the classics can play a big factor in this!
Color palette: Choosing the right color palette often comes down to personal preference. A traditional red, green, white and cream are all great options!
Mix it up: Instead of focusing on ensuring the entire outfit(s) is in the perfect color, try a neutral base with a pop of color in a fun red or green.
Be wary of red: What I mean by this, is no two reds are the same. Because this photo will be taken with Santa, it’s important to remember that his suit is entirely in a classic cherry red (to match his nose). If your child decides to wear all red, it’s possible that the shade will clash with Santa’s suit. I strongly recommend that your kid’s outfit has red, but it’s not the dominant color. Think of it as keeping the percentage of red in the outfit at 50% or less.
