Dayton Ohio Wedding Photographer
I’ve been photographing weddings in Dayton, Ohio for more than 15 years. In my time, I have met so many different couples with so many different stories and celebrations of love.
Even with the seemingly most simple of weddings, there’s always a special memory I take away with me. Nicolás & Brenda wedding is no exception — stay tuned for a funny anecdote with me, the bride, and a ride.
From Engagement Session to “First Look” Photos
I photographed Nicolás and Brenda’s engagement session at Oakes Quarry Park last September. We connected thanks to a recommendation from one of their parent’s co-workers. I love a word-of-mouth referral – it’s my favorite way to acquire new clients! Nicolás and Brenda were a lovely couple; laid back, relaxed, and so sweet. You could tell how happy they were to have this day together.
The “first look” photos turned out so great — what a special moment to capture. Since it was a (not at all busy) weekday in the winter, we were able to go to the Schuster Center for those photos before heading to the ceremony and reception in Beavercreek at SDA Church.
A Whimsical Winter Wedding in Dayton, Ohio
I ended up driving Brenda from her parent’s home to the Schuster Center. This was a first for me as a wedding photographer, but it was so fun to get to chat one on one with the bride. These are the moments that really make my job the most fun — because who else gets the chance to do something like that?!
Afterward, we headed to the formal ceremony and reception at the church in Beavercreek. Dayton offers such a variety of locations which are never more than 20 minutes around town. Making time to do things that suit the couple’s style, taste, needs, and wants is always important to me.
At the church, the couple’s ceremony and reception were simple and elegant. I loved the cool wedding color palette, featuring varying tones of blue and gray with neutral hints of ivory.
How charming were the Nicolás and Brenda’s nuptials? Leave a comment below.
If they receive 15 or more comments, I’ll send them a free print as a special surprise!
