Outdoor Session at Oakes Quarry Park
Oakes Quarry Park in Fairborn, Ohio, is a stunning location for an outdoor portrait session. With prairies, wetlands, and trails for hiking or horseback riding, there are so many options for beautiful scenes to photograph.
Brenda and Nicolas chose this picturesque setting for their engagement session in September. The gorgeous late summer day allowed us to make the most of the park’s natural beauty.
I love this location because it doesn’t feel like you’re in Ohio when you’re there. It almost feels more like California with its drier landscapes. I especially love the shallow water areas that allowed the couple to dip their toes into, which was something they specifically wanted in a location for their session. It was great to see them splashing and having fun in the water – and it made for great photos too!
Fun, Easy Engagement Portraits
Brenda and Nicolas were such a lovely couple! They were very laid back and laughed easily. After the session as we headed to our cars, Nicolas told me he kept thinking during the session how at ease I put them. It always make for a fun session when the couple can relax and be themselves in front of the camera. It makes my heart so happy to know that I could help make them feel comfortable throughout the shoot!
I first connected with this sweet pair through one of their co-workers. I love a word-of-mouth referral – it’s my favorite way to acquire new clients!
Brenda and Nicolas will be getting married December 21. I’m looking forward to photographing them again. I just know their wedding is going to be a great time!
