Xenia Family Photography at James Ranch Park

Family Photography at James Ranch Park in Xenia, Ohio always turns out stunning. This location is a beautiful, scenic spot for outdoor photos. The park offers flower and vegetable gardens, a pond, and a nineteenth-century farmhouse over four acres. I love how the trees just outside the gardens resemble Spanish moss as they hang down and sway in the wind.

I was here for a special shoot in 2019, and it made me so happy to come back in September to photograph another lovely family, The Reynas. We couldn’t have asked for a better late summer night. The evening light was magical for this session!

Photographing Precious Family Memories at James Ranch

Zane, Alexis, two-year-old Zayden, and five-month-old Case are a joy to photograph. I’ve known Alexis for years. My good friend Rachael is one of her four sisters. Alexis’ and my little ones are very close in age, so it’s cool that we’ve been pregnant and given birth around the same time both times!

This shoot was extra special because we did a session of Zayden around the same age that Case is now. Alexis wanted to schedule the session so they would be around the same age. I love how Zayden rubs Case’s head lovingly, as you can see in some of the photos. It’s so sweet to see that kind of brotherly love and affection.

Zayden is a precious little ball of energy. Alexis and Zane, like myself, know that a little jelly bean bribery during a session never hurt anyone! It did the trick – we were able to get some great shots of these handsome boys!
