Extended Family Session at Cox Arboretum

I have always enjoyed extended family photography. Seeing everyone get together, especially when it’s a large group, is such a joy!

I got to take these photos of the Pucheril family in late November at Miamisburg’s Cox Arboretum. Shooting at Cox Arboretum is a photographer’s dream, due to the fact that it’s a great location all year round. No matter the season, it’s always beautiful!

Miamisburg Holiday Photography

The Pucheril family came together for Thanksgiving and thought it would be the perfect time to update their family portraits. It can be hard to get a large group of people together for photos, regardless of whether you live in the same city or not. That’s why I recommend trying to match the timing of your extended family photography session up with an event when the whole family is already gathering, such as a holiday! A lot of my clients do this as a Christmas gift for their parents. As a parent myself, I can’t think of anything we would love more!

Miamisburg, Ohio Family Session

On the day of the session the youngest family member, Lilah, turned one year old, and on top of that, the family has a new little one on the way! These milestones made the day even more special.

Children grow up so fast! Not only will the Pucheril family get to look back at photos to remember when they all spent Thanksgiving together, but they will get to see a snapshot in time of the youngest family members before they grow up.

Miamisburg, Ohio Professional Headshots

We all know how challenging it can feel to schedule a photo shoot and prepare for the big day. Finding the right time, putting together an outfit and sometimes even finding a babysitter, it’s no small feat. After putting in all that work, there’s nothing wrong with having a multi-purpose shoot. Honestly, it’s a great way to make sure you get everything you need in one go!

For the Pucheril family, we decided to take advantage of a bit of time left at the end of the session to sneak in a few professional headshots for a few of them to use for their work. Headshots can make a big impact in the workforce, so it is important to keep them updated.
